Telehealth Ratings (telehealthratings.net) is an independent consumer review website. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain English on purpose.

Who we are

What we collect

• Review information you give us. Your first name and last initial, city and state, star ratings, the text of your review, the provider you used, and the month you used them.
• Your email address. We use it only to check that a review is real and to stop the same person posting twice about one provider. Your email is never shown on the site, never sold, and never shared with the provider you reviewed.
• Usage information. Standard technical data such as pages viewed, browser type, device type, approximate region, and referring website. This is collected through cookies and similar tools.

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive health details, medical records, insurance numbers, or payment card information. Please do not include them in a review.

How we use your information

• To publish and moderate reviews.
• To detect fake, duplicate, or abusive submissions.
• To measure how the site is used and improve it.
• To measure our advertising, including ads on Meta platforms.
• To respond when you contact us.
• To meet legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with the telehealth companies listed on this site.

Advertising and measurement

We use Google Tag Manager and advertising measurement tools, which may include the Meta pixel and conversions API. These tools may receive event data such as the fact that a review was submitted, along with a hashed identifier derived from your email address. Hashing means the value is scrambled before it leaves your browser and cannot be read as your email. This helps us understand which ads work. You can opt out of Meta ad personalization in your Meta account settings, and you can limit tracking through your browser or an ad blocker.

We use a small number of cookies for basic site function and for analytics and advertising measurement. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to turn them off.

How long we keep information

Published reviews stay up for as long as the site runs, unless you ask us to remove yours. Email addresses attached to reviews are kept for as long as the review is published so we can verify it. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form.

Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. If you are in California, this includes the rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object, restrict processing, port your data, and complain to your data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, email privacy@telehealthratings.net. We reply within 30 days and never charge for it. We may ask you to confirm the email address used on a review before we delete it.

Security

Data is stored with an encrypted, access-controlled hosting provider. Contact details attached to reviews are not readable by the public. No system is perfect, but we limit who and what can reach personal data.

Children

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the home page.
